Youth's body found hanging from tree in Bengal's Jalpaiguri

A wave of shock and sorrow swept through the Putimari area of Fulbari Number 2 Gram Panchayat under Jalpaiguri district on Friday morning when the body of an 18-year-old young man was found hanging from a tree behind his house. The deceased, identified as Topu Roy, was discovered by his family, leaving them in deep distress and confusion.

According to the family, Topu had gone to bed after dinner the previous night, following his usual routine. However, in the morning, they were devastated to find him hanging from a tree near their home. The sudden and unexplained nature of his death has left the family and local community struggling to understand what might have led Topu to take such a step.

Upon receiving information about the incident, police from the NJP police station promptly arrived at the scene. They recovered the body and sent it to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital for a post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.

The police have begun their investigation into the circumstances surrounding Topu's death, although no clear motive has been established as of now. The incident has left the community in mourning as they await answers.
